Terms of Service (Clients)
Terms for consumers using QuoteFinder.ca to request and compare insurance quotes
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of QuoteFinder.ca and related services, features, websites, pages, and tools made available to clients/consumers (collectively, the “Platform”).
In these Terms, “QuoteFinder.ca”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to the platform operator. “You” and “your” refer to a client/consumer user of the Platform.
If you are an agent, broker, advisor, or other professional using the Platform, separate terms, rules, and requirements may apply to your use.
2. What QuoteFinder.ca is (and is not)
QuoteFinder.ca is a marketplace and technology platform that helps clients submit quote requests and compare responses from participating professionals.
QuoteFinder.ca is not an insurer and does not underwrite risk, issue insurance policies, guarantee coverage approval, or handle claims on behalf of insurers.
QuoteFinder.ca is also not a substitute for reading policy documents or obtaining advice from a licensed professional where required.
Platform role
We provide the quote-request workflow, marketplace tools, and comparison experience. Insurance quotes, recommendations, policy terms, and coverage decisions come from participating professionals and/or insurers, not from the Platform itself.
3. Eligibility to use the Platform
By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that:
- you are at least the age of majority in your province or territory of residence;
- you have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms;
- the information you submit is accurate and not misleading;
- you are using the Platform for lawful personal or business-related quote comparison purposes;
- you are not impersonating another person or entity.
4. Account registration and access
Some features may require you to create an account or access a quote request using a secure link, token, email verification, or similar authentication method.
You are responsible for:
- keeping your login credentials and access links secure;
- maintaining accurate account/contact information;
- promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorized access or misuse.
You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account or verified access link unless caused by our own security failure.
5. Submitting quote requests
When you submit a quote request, you agree to provide complete and accurate information to the best of your knowledge. Incomplete, false, or outdated information may lead to inaccurate quotes, delayed responses, or no responses.
By submitting a quote request, you understand and agree that your request details may be shared with eligible participating professionals for quote-related purposes, subject to our Privacy Policy and platform rules.
Submitting a request does not guarantee:
- that you will receive any quote responses;
- that any quote response will be the lowest price;
- that any participating professional can serve your request;
- that you will be approved for coverage;
- that a quote shown is a final binding offer.
6. Quotes, estimates, and final policy terms
Quote responses shown on the Platform may be preliminary estimates or indicative quotes based on the information available at the time.
Final pricing, eligibility, coverage, and policy terms may change after underwriting, verification, inspection, document review, or insurer-specific checks.
Insurance coverage does not begin merely because you submitted a request or viewed a quote on the Platform. Coverage begins only when an insurer (or authorized representative) confirms issuance and all required conditions are met.
Important
Always review the final quote, application details, and policy wording carefully before purchasing insurance.
7. Your responsibilities as a client
When using QuoteFinder.ca, you agree to:
- provide truthful, accurate, and current information;
- review quote details and ask questions before proceeding;
- use the Platform respectfully and lawfully;
- keep communications professional and non-abusive;
- avoid sharing unnecessary sensitive information outside secure workflows;
- report suspicious, fraudulent, or misleading activity;
- comply with these Terms and related platform policies.
8. Prohibited conduct
You may not use the Platform to:
- submit false, misleading, fraudulent, or impersonated requests;
- harass, threaten, abuse, or discriminate against other users or professionals;
- upload or send unlawful, defamatory, or harmful content;
- introduce malware, malicious code, or interfere with platform security;
- scrape, crawl, copy, or harvest platform data without authorization;
- circumvent platform controls, access restrictions, or payment/usage systems;
- use bots/automation in a way that disrupts or abuses the Platform;
- violate applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights.
We may remove content, restrict access, suspend accounts, or take other action for violations, as described in our Trust & Safety and enforcement policies.
9. Communications and consent
By using the Platform and submitting a request, you consent to receive service-related communications from QuoteFinder.ca, including by email, SMS, phone, or in-platform notifications where applicable, for account verification, security, request updates, quote activity, and support.
You may also receive communications from participating professionals in connection with your quote request, subject to applicable consent laws and our platform rules.
Marketing communications (if any) will be subject to applicable consent requirements and unsubscribe/opt-out options where required by law.
10. Privacy and data use
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information.
By using the Platform, you acknowledge that request information may be processed and shared with participating professionals for quote-related purposes, fraud prevention, support, compliance, and platform operations, as described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Third-party professionals and services
QuoteFinder.ca may display or facilitate contact with third-party agents, brokers, advisors, insurers, or service providers. We do not control all acts, omissions, advice, services, or representations of third parties.
Any insurance purchase, policy application, underwriting decision, or service agreement you enter into with a third party is between you and that third party, subject to their terms and applicable law.
12. Fees and charges
Unless clearly stated otherwise on the Platform, QuoteFinder.ca does not charge clients a fee merely to submit a quote request or compare quote responses. However, third parties may charge premiums, fees, or other amounts in connection with insurance products or services they offer.
You are responsible for reviewing and understanding any charges, payment terms, cancellation terms, or fees disclosed by participating professionals or insurers before you proceed.
13. No professional advice from the Platform
Content on QuoteFinder.ca is provided for general informational and marketplace-use purposes only. It is not legal, financial, tax, or licensed insurance advice from QuoteFinder.ca unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Where licensed advice is required, you should consult an appropriately licensed professional and review official insurer documentation.
14. Platform availability and changes
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time, including features, workflows, integrations, or eligibility rules, with or without notice where permitted by law.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the Platform.
15. Intellectual property
The Platform, including its design, text, software, logos, trademarks (excluding third-party marks), and related content, is owned by or licensed to QuoteFinder.ca and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may use the Platform for its intended personal or internal business-consumer use only. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, or create derivative works from the Platform except as permitted by law or with our written permission.
16. User content and submissions
You retain rights to the information and content you submit, subject to the rights needed for us to operate the Platform.
By submitting content, data, messages, or request details through the Platform, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce, and transmit that content as needed to:
- operate and improve the Platform;
- route and present quote requests and responses;
- provide support and resolve disputes;
- perform security, fraud prevention, and compliance activities;
- enforce our Terms and policies.
17. Trust & Safety enforcement
We may investigate reports, monitor for abuse, and take enforcement action for violations of these Terms, platform rules, or applicable law. Enforcement actions may include warnings, content removal, feature restrictions, suspension, or permanent account removal.
For more details, please review our Trust & Safety Enforcement / Policy Violations page.
18. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
Without limiting the above, we do not warrant that:
- the Platform will always be available, secure, or error-free;
- quote responses will be accurate, complete, current, or suitable for your needs;
- you will receive quote responses, savings, or coverage approval.
Some jurisdictions may not allow certain exclusions of warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
19. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuoteFinder.ca and its owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Platform.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the Platform will not exceed the greater of:
- the amount (if any) you paid directly to QuoteFinder.ca for client use of the Platform in the 12 months before the claim arose; or
- CAD $100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including rights available under consumer protection laws.
20. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless QuoteFinder.ca and its affiliates, owners, officers, employees, and contractors from and against claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and reasonable costs arising out of or related to:
- your violation of these Terms;
- your misuse of the Platform;
- your false, inaccurate, or unlawful submissions;
- your infringement of third-party rights.
21. Suspension and termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Platform (in whole or in part) if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk to others, or used the Platform unlawfully or abusively.
You may stop using the Platform at any time. If you want account deletion or data-related requests, please contact us and review our Privacy Policy for applicable rights and limitations.
22. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date.
Your continued use of the Platform after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, except where applicable law requires additional notice or consent.
23. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your province or territory require otherwise.
Subject to applicable consumer protection rights, you agree that disputes arising from or related to these Terms or your use of the Platform will be brought before the courts located in Ontario, Canada.
24. Severability and interpretation
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect to the extent permitted by law.
Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
25. Contact information
For questions about these Terms or client use of QuoteFinder.ca, please contact us through the contact/support page on the Platform.

Terms for Agents / Provider Agreement
Separate terms for agents, brokers, advisors, agencies, and other participating providers using QuoteFinder.ca
1. About this Provider Agreement
This Provider Agreement (“Agreement”) governs access to and use of QuoteFinder.ca’s provider-facing services, dashboards, profiles, marketplace tools, lead/quote request features, messaging tools, credit system, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”) by agents, brokers, advisors, agencies, and other approved providers (“Provider”, “you”, or “your”).
In this Agreement, “QuoteFinder.ca”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to the platform operator.
This is a separate agreement from the terms that apply to clients/consumers. If you use the Platform as a provider, this Agreement controls your provider use.
2. Platform role and provider independence
QuoteFinder.ca is a marketplace and technology platform. We provide workflows and tools that may help match client quote requests with participating providers.
QuoteFinder.ca is not your employer, partner, joint venturer, franchisor, insurer, MGA, brokerage manager, or supervising licensee, and nothing in this Agreement creates an employment, agency, partnership, or fiduciary relationship between you and QuoteFinder.ca.
You remain independently responsible for your licensing, compliance, advice, quotes, disclosures, and services.
Independent provider status
You are solely responsible for the services you provide, the accuracy of your quotes and representations, and compliance with all laws, regulations, and licensing requirements that apply to your business.
3. Eligibility and provider approval
To use the Platform as a Provider, you represent and warrant that:
- you are legally authorized to operate and provide the services you offer;
- you hold all required licenses, registrations, certifications, and permissions in the jurisdictions where you operate (if applicable);
- your account registration information is true, current, and complete;
- you are not impersonating another person, business, or licensed entity;
- you will use the Platform only for lawful business purposes.
We may require verification before or after approval, including identity checks, business checks, licensing checks, and other compliance reviews.
4. Licensing, regulatory, and legal compliance
You are solely responsible for complying with all laws, regulations, codes, licensing requirements, advertising rules, and professional obligations applicable to your services, communications, and conduct, including jurisdiction-specific requirements.
This includes, where applicable:
- maintaining active and valid licenses and registrations;
- using only authorized business names and representations;
- making required consumer disclosures;
- following rules on advice, solicitation, recordkeeping, and consent;
- complying with privacy, anti-spam, telemarketing, and marketing consent laws.
If your license, appointment, authority, or eligibility changes, is suspended, or is revoked, you must promptly update your profile and stop using affected Platform features unless and until reinstated.
5. Provider account, security, and authorized users
You are responsible for your account credentials, dashboard access, API keys (if any), and any activity performed through your account, including activity by staff members, contractors, or other authorized users you allow to access your account.
- Keep credentials and access links secure.
- Use strong passwords and access controls.
- Notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access or misuse.
- Ensure internal users follow this Agreement and platform policies.
6. Provider profile accuracy and ongoing updates
Your public and private provider profile information must be accurate, current, and not misleading. You agree to keep profile details updated, including (as applicable):
- business name and contact details;
- service categories and products offered;
- service areas / provinces / territories;
- licensing and regulatory status (where applicable);
- business hours and response preferences;
- professional credentials and experience claims;
- headshot, logo, and branding assets you upload.
You may not use false reviews, misleading claims, fake credentials, or deceptive profile content.
7. Marketplace participation and quote request access
The Platform may present quote requests to providers based on eligibility filters, geography, product category, account status, credits, preferences, or other marketplace rules set by QuoteFinder.ca.
We do not guarantee:
- any minimum number of quote requests;
- exclusive access to requests unless expressly stated;
- client selection or conversion;
- accuracy or completeness of client-submitted details;
- a minimum return on spend, ROI, close rate, or premium volume.
QuoteFinder.ca may modify marketplace routing logic, prioritization, caps, eligibility rules, or workflow design at any time.
8. Provider conduct and marketplace rules
When using the Platform, you agree to act professionally, honestly, and lawfully. You must not:
- submit false, deceptive, or bait-style quotes;
- misrepresent coverage, price, eligibility, or insurer relationships;
- harass, pressure, threaten, or abuse clients or other providers;
- discriminate unlawfully or engage in prohibited conduct;
- spam users or send repetitive unsolicited messages;
- use the Platform to collect data for unauthorized resale or list-building;
- attempt to bypass platform workflows, protections, or fees in violation of platform rules;
- scrape, copy, harvest, or reverse engineer platform data or systems without authorization;
- upload malicious code or interfere with platform security or operations.
Important
Quotes and communications must be clear, professional, and non-misleading. Providers are responsible for the content of their bids, quotes, representations, and follow-up communications.
9. Quotes, bids, and provider responsibilities
If the Platform supports bidding, quote submissions, or response workflows, you are responsible for the accuracy and good-faith basis of any pricing, estimated premiums, service terms, timelines, and representations you submit.
You must clearly distinguish between:
- preliminary estimates;
- quoted ranges;
- firmer quotes subject to underwriting/document review;
- final policy terms issued by an insurer.
You may not present a quote request response as guaranteed coverage or a final binding policy unless that is accurate and permitted by law.
10. Client communications and privacy expectations
You may receive client information through the Platform for quote-related purposes only, subject to this Agreement, our Privacy Policy, and applicable law.
You agree to:
- use client information only for legitimate quote/service purposes connected to the request;
- protect client information using reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards;
- not misuse, resell, or disclose client information except as required to service the request and as permitted by law;
- follow consent rules and communication limits;
- respect platform masking/redaction features and restrictions where enabled.
You are responsible for your own compliance with privacy and communication laws, including consent requirements for calls, emails, and messages.
11. Credits, wallet, and marketplace payments
QuoteFinder.ca may use a credit-based system, prepaid wallet system, subscriptions, usage fees, access fees, unlock fees, bid fees, or other payment models for provider participation (“Credits” and “Fees”).
By purchasing Credits or paying Fees, you authorize us (or our payment processor) to charge your selected payment method for the applicable amount, plus taxes where required.
11.1 Credit purchases and use
- Credits may be used only within the Platform for eligible provider features and marketplace actions.
- Credits have no cash value except where required by law.
- Credits are non-transferable unless we expressly allow transfers in writing.
- Credit pricing, packages, and feature costs may change at any time.
- Different actions may consume different amounts of Credits (for example, bidding, unlocking, premium placement, or other marketplace tools).
11.2 Fee triggers and deductions
The Platform may deduct Credits or charge Fees when you perform specific actions, such as submitting a bid, unlocking request details, accessing lead information, subscribing to a plan, or using paid features. The applicable charge logic will be shown in the Platform interface or related pricing documentation where available.
You are responsible for reviewing charge triggers before proceeding with a paid action.
11.3 Taxes and processor fees
Unless stated otherwise, listed prices and credit package amounts may exclude applicable sales taxes. You are responsible for any taxes, duties, levies, or governmental charges related to your purchases, except taxes based on our net income.
Payment processing is handled by third-party processors. Your use of their services may also be subject to their terms and conditions.
11.4 No guarantee of conversion or sales
Payment for Credits, access, bids, or unlocks does not guarantee client selection, policy placement, sales, commissions, or revenue.
12. Refunds, reversals, and billing disputes
Except where required by law or expressly stated in a written refund policy, Credit purchases and marketplace Fees are generally final once purchased or consumed.
QuoteFinder.ca may, in its discretion, review refund requests for technical errors, duplicate charges, unauthorized transactions, or platform-caused billing issues. Approval is not guaranteed.
If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact support promptly with the transaction date, amount, account email, and details of the issue.
Chargebacks or payment disputes filed without first attempting good-faith resolution through support may result in account restrictions, negative wallet balance, suspension, or termination, subject to applicable law.
13. Subscriptions and recurring billing (if offered)
If the Platform offers recurring subscriptions, plans, or auto-replenishment for Credits:
- you authorize recurring charges at the then-current rate until cancelled;
- billing frequency and renewal terms will be shown at sign-up;
- you must cancel before the next renewal date to avoid future charges;
- changes to pricing or plan features may apply on a future billing cycle after notice where required.
Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals but does not automatically refund prior charges unless required by law or expressly approved.
14. Provider service quality and client treatment
Providers must treat clients fairly and professionally. At minimum, you agree to:
- respond in a reasonable timeframe when you choose to participate;
- communicate clearly and respectfully;
- avoid misleading pressure tactics;
- honor your stated availability and service areas as accurately as possible;
- disclose key assumptions and quote limitations;
- stop outreach where required by law or client request.
15. Reviews, ratings, and feedback
The Platform may collect or display reviews, ratings, selection outcomes, complaint signals, response metrics, or other performance indicators. We may use these signals in provider visibility, trust, ranking, moderation, or eligibility decisions.
You may not manipulate reviews or ratings through fake accounts, incentives that violate policy, coercion, or deceptive practices.
16. Verification, audits, and compliance cooperation
QuoteFinder.ca may request documents, explanations, or confirmations relating to your identity, licensing, business status, profile claims, service areas, payment method ownership, complaints, or marketplace conduct.
You agree to cooperate reasonably with verification, trust & safety reviews, fraud investigations, and policy enforcement. Failure to respond or provide requested information may result in reduced visibility, restrictions, suspension, or termination.
17. Platform changes and marketplace discretion
We may update or change platform features, workflows, routing logic, eligibility criteria, pricing, credit costs, UI, ranking factors, messaging tools, or marketplace rules at any time.
We also reserve the right to pause, limit, or discontinue any product category, province, feature, or provider access segment.
18. Trust & Safety enforcement and sanctions
We may investigate reports and take enforcement action for violations of this Agreement, platform rules, payment terms, or applicable law. Enforcement actions may include:
- warnings;
- content removal;
- feature restrictions;
- lead/quote access limitations;
- credit holds or billing review;
- temporary suspension;
- permanent removal / account termination.
For additional details, please review our Trust & Safety Enforcement / Policy Violations page.
19. Suspension, termination, and post-termination effects
We may suspend or terminate your account, in whole or in part, at our discretion if we believe you violated this Agreement, posed risk to clients or the Platform, failed verification, engaged in fraud or abuse, or used the Platform unlawfully.
Upon suspension or termination, we may:
- disable provider dashboard access;
- remove or hide profile content;
- block new bidding/unlocking activity;
- retain records needed for legal, audit, fraud prevention, billing, or dispute purposes;
- apply holds or offsets for unresolved chargebacks, fees, or claims to the extent permitted by law.
20. Intellectual property and limited platform license
QuoteFinder.ca and its licensors own the Platform and related intellectual property, including software, workflows, branding, interfaces, and content (excluding your own content and third-party marks).
We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Platform for your internal business use as a participating provider, subject to this Agreement.
You may not copy, resell, sublicense, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the Platform except as permitted by law.
21. Provider content license
You retain ownership of content you submit (such as profile text, logos, headshots, service descriptions, and quote communications), subject to the rights needed for Platform operation.
By submitting content to the Platform, you grant QuoteFinder.ca a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, process, and transmit that content as needed to:
- operate and improve the Platform;
- display your provider profile and marketplace participation;
- route and present quotes and request responses;
- provide support and resolve disputes;
- perform fraud prevention, moderation, and compliance activities;
- enforce this Agreement and related policies.
22. Confidentiality and marketplace information
Client request details, platform pricing logic, internal routing behavior, non-public marketplace data, and other non-public information you access through the Platform may be confidential and may only be used for legitimate participation in the Platform.
You may not disclose or exploit non-public platform information for unauthorized competitive, resale, or data-harvesting purposes.
23. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.
Without limiting the above, QuoteFinder.ca does not warrant that:
- the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always available;
- quote requests will be accurate, complete, or convertible to sales;
- you will receive any minimum number of leads, requests, or revenue;
- any marketplace ranking or visibility level will continue.
Some jurisdictions may not allow certain exclusions, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
24. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuoteFinder.ca and its owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, business opportunity, data, or goodwill arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Platform.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuoteFinder.ca’s total liability arising out of or related to this Agreement will not exceed the greater of:
- the amount you paid directly to QuoteFinder.ca in the 12 months before the claim arose; or
- CAD $250.
Nothing in this Agreement limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
25. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless QuoteFinder.ca and its affiliates, owners, officers, employees, and contractors from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable costs arising out of or related to:
- your services, advice, quotes, or representations;
- your violation of this Agreement or platform policies;
- your violation of applicable law or licensing requirements;
- your misuse of client information or the Platform;
- your infringement of third-party rights.
26. Changes to this Agreement
We may update this Agreement from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date.
Your continued use of the Platform after the updated Agreement takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms, except where applicable law requires additional notice or consent.
27. Governing law and jurisdiction
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
Subject to applicable law, disputes arising out of or related to this Agreement or your provider use of the Platform will be brought before the courts located in Ontario, Canada.
28. Severability and interpretation
If any provision of this Agreement is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
29. Contact and billing support
For provider account, billing, credits, compliance, or Agreement questions, contact QuoteFinder.ca through the provider support/contact channel on the Platform.

Terms for Brokerages / Team Accounts
Organization account terms for brokerages, agencies, teams, and other multi-user provider groups on QuoteFinder.ca
1. About these Team Account terms
These Terms for Brokerages / Team Accounts (“Team Terms”) apply when a brokerage, agency, team, firm, or other organization (“Organization”, “Brokerage”, “you”, or “your”) creates, controls, or uses a multi-user provider account on QuoteFinder.ca (the “Platform”).
These Team Terms supplement the Terms for Agents / Provider Agreement. If there is a conflict between these Team Terms and the individual provider terms for organization-level access, billing, account control, and team administration, these Team Terms govern for the Organization account. Individual members remain responsible for their personal conduct and legal/professional obligations.
2. Who may create a Team Account
A Team Account may be created only by a person with actual authority to act on behalf of the Organization (for example, an owner, director, officer, branch manager, authorized administrator, or designated compliance/operations representative).
By creating or administering a Team Account, you represent and warrant that:
- you have authority to bind the Organization to these Team Terms;
- the Organization is lawfully operating and authorized to provide the relevant services;
- all registration information is accurate and complete;
- the Organization will ensure users comply with these Team Terms, the Provider Agreement, and platform policies.
3. Relationship to individual provider accounts
A Team Account may include one or more member users (for example, brokers, agents, advisors, assistants, coordinators, admins, or managers) with different access levels.
QuoteFinder.ca may support:
- organization-owned seats/accounts;
- member invitations and seat assignment;
- role-based permissions;
- team-level billing/credits/wallets;
- shared visibility or routing settings.
Even where an Organization manages access, individual users may remain directly bound by provider/platform terms and may be subject to separate enforcement for their conduct.
4. Org admin responsibilities
The Organization is responsible for designating one or more administrators (“Org Admins”) to manage the Team Account. Org Admins act as authorized representatives of the Organization for Team Account administration.
Org Admin responsibilities include, at minimum:
- maintaining accurate Organization profile and contact information;
- assigning, changing, and removing member access appropriately;
- using least-privilege access principles where possible;
- ensuring departed or suspended personnel lose access promptly;
- reviewing billing/credit usage and account activity;
- coordinating internal compliance with platform rules and applicable law;
- responding to platform verification, billing, and trust & safety inquiries;
- ensuring staff understand quote conduct, privacy, and communication rules.
Important
The Organization is responsible for actions taken through its Team Account, including actions by Org Admins and members, unless caused by a platform-side security failure.
5. Seats, roles, and access permissions
QuoteFinder.ca may offer different roles and permissions (for example: org admin, manager, member/provider, billing admin, support user, or read-only roles). Available roles may change over time.
The Organization is responsible for assigning roles appropriately and ensuring members use only the access needed for their job function.
5.1 Seat assignment and reassignment
- Seats may be assigned only to real authorized users within or formally engaged by the Organization.
- Shared logins are discouraged unless expressly allowed by the Platform and may be prohibited for certain roles.
- The Organization must promptly reassign or deactivate seats when a member changes role or leaves.
- Seat transfers and reassignment may be subject to platform limits, audit tracking, or billing rules.
5.2 Delegated permissions
Org Admins may delegate certain actions (for example, profile editing, quote response access, or messaging functions) to members, but the Organization remains responsible for that delegation and the resulting conduct.
6. Delegated authority and agency within the Team Account
The Organization authorizes Org Admins and designated members to perform actions within the Team Account according to their assigned permissions. Such actions may include account updates, seat management, quote/bid submissions, credit use, or communications with clients, depending on role configuration.
The Organization is responsible for:
- defining internal authority limits for members;
- ensuring only appropriately licensed/authorized members provide regulated advice or representations;
- monitoring member actions taken under Organization credentials or permissions;
- revoking delegated authority promptly when no longer appropriate.
QuoteFinder.ca is not responsible for internal disputes about authority, compensation, commissions, or role permissions within your Organization.
7. Member conduct and organizational accountability
The Organization must ensure that all members using the Team Account act professionally, lawfully, and in accordance with platform rules. This includes compliance with:
- the Terms for Agents / Provider Agreement;
- marketplace rules and trust & safety policies;
- privacy and communication requirements;
- applicable licensing and regulatory obligations.
The Organization acknowledges that misconduct by a member (including deceptive quotes, harassment, misuse of client data, spam, or platform abuse) may result in action against:
- the individual member account;
- the Team Account;
- specific seats or permissions;
- the Organization’s billing/credit privileges;
- the Organization’s marketplace visibility or participation.
8. Licensing and supervision responsibilities
The Organization is responsible for ensuring that members using the Platform are properly licensed, appointed, supervised, and authorized for the jurisdictions and products they handle, where required by law.
This includes ensuring that members:
- do not present themselves as licensed where they are not;
- do not provide advice or services outside permitted scope;
- use approved business names and disclosures;
- follow internal compliance and recordkeeping policies.
QuoteFinder.ca may request verification of organizational or individual licensing/authorization status and may restrict access pending review.
9. Organization profile, branding, and representations
The Organization is responsible for the accuracy of its profile content, service areas, credentials, logos, and representations displayed on or through the Platform.
You may not use misleading branding, inaccurate credentials, false reviews, or deceptive claims regarding:
- licensing or regulatory status;
- insurer relationships or appointments;
- service availability;
- response times, savings claims, or guarantees;
- experience, awards, or certifications.
10. Team data handling and privacy obligations
Client information and quote request data accessed through a Team Account may only be used for legitimate quote/service purposes connected to Platform participation and in compliance with applicable law and platform policies.
The Organization is responsible for implementing reasonable safeguards, including:
- role-based access controls for client data;
- secure credential management and password practices;
- device and endpoint security for staff using the Platform;
- internal procedures for handling personal information;
- access revocation for departing team members;
- training for privacy and communication compliance.
The Organization must not misuse, resell, scrape, or repurpose client data obtained through the Platform for unauthorized marketing, lead resale, or list-building.
Data handling principle
Access to client data through a Team Account should be limited to users who need it for legitimate quote and service activity. Internal convenience is not a reason to grant broad access to all members.
11. Team messaging, communications, and records
If the Platform supports team messaging, shared inboxes, or member-client communications, the Organization is responsible for ensuring messages sent by members comply with platform rules and applicable law (including consent and anti-spam requirements).
QuoteFinder.ca may retain platform communications, logs, and activity records for security, support, trust & safety review, billing, dispute handling, and compliance purposes, subject to our Privacy Policy and legal obligations.
The Organization is responsible for its own independent recordkeeping obligations under applicable law and should not rely solely on Platform availability for regulatory record retention.
12. Billing admin authority, credits, and payment responsibility
A Team Account may include organization-level billing, shared credits/wallets, subscriptions, auto-replenishment, or other provider payment features. The Organization is responsible for all charges incurred through authorized Team Account activity, including charges initiated by Org Admins and members with billing-enabled permissions.
The Organization must ensure billing permissions are assigned only to trusted users with appropriate authority.
12.1 Shared credits and internal allocation
- Credits purchased by the Organization may be used by authorized members within the Team Account, subject to platform settings.
- The Organization is responsible for internal tracking, limits, and approvals for member credit use.
- QuoteFinder.ca is not responsible for internal disputes over credit consumption, cost-sharing, commissions, or reimbursement between team members.
12.2 Payment methods and recurring charges
By adding a payment method to a Team Account, the Organization authorizes QuoteFinder.ca and/or its payment processor to charge applicable fees, subscriptions, taxes, or credit purchases according to the Team Account’s billing settings.
Org Admins with billing permissions are deemed authorized by the Organization to manage billing settings unless and until the Organization revokes that access in the Platform.
12.3 Billing disputes and unauthorized internal use
The Organization must review billing statements and account activity promptly. Charges resulting from internal misuse, permission misconfiguration, or failure to remove access may still be the Organization’s responsibility unless caused by platform-side error or unauthorized access resulting from our security failure.
13. Offboarding, seat removal, and access revocation
The Organization is responsible for promptly removing or restricting access for members who:
- leave the Organization;
- change roles and no longer need access;
- lose licensing/authorization required for their role;
- are under internal investigation or disciplinary action;
- pose security, compliance, or conduct risk.
QuoteFinder.ca may also suspend or restrict individual seats or the full Team Account during trust & safety, billing, fraud, or compliance reviews.
Where supported, the Platform may preserve audit history of actions taken by removed members for operational and compliance purposes.
14. Audit logs, activity monitoring, and admin visibility
QuoteFinder.ca may provide activity history, access logs, or administrative audit trails for Team Accounts (for example, seat invites, role changes, billing actions, or quote access events). Availability of such features may vary by plan or product.
The Organization acknowledges that:
- Org Admins may have visibility into member activity within the Team Account to the extent supported by the Platform;
- QuoteFinder.ca may monitor activity for security, fraud prevention, policy enforcement, support, and system integrity;
- audit records may be retained after seat deactivation or termination as permitted by law.
15. Internal disputes and ownership of the Team Account
If there is a dispute within the Organization regarding account ownership, admin control, payment responsibility, or member authority, QuoteFinder.ca may require documentation and may temporarily restrict certain account actions pending review.
We may rely on the current Org Admin configuration and available records unless and until we determine otherwise. QuoteFinder.ca is not required to adjudicate internal employment, compensation, commission, partnership, or corporate governance disputes.
16. Team Account suspension, restrictions, and enforcement
QuoteFinder.ca may issue warnings, remove content, restrict features, suspend seats, suspend Team Accounts, place billing holds, or permanently remove the Organization from the Platform for violations of these Team Terms, the Provider Agreement, payment terms, trust & safety policies, or applicable law.
Enforcement may be applied at different levels depending on the issue:
- member/seat level;
- Org Admin level;
- billing/credits level;
- organization-wide level.
For more detail, review Trust & Safety Enforcement / Policy Violations.
17. Organization responsibility for member training and policy distribution
The Organization is responsible for ensuring members who use the Team Account understand and follow applicable platform policies, including:
- provider terms and marketplace rules;
- quote conduct and representation standards;
- privacy and data handling rules;
- communication and anti-spam requirements;
- trust & safety and reporting processes.
QuoteFinder.ca may provide guidance materials, but the Organization remains responsible for internal training, supervision, and policy enforcement within its business.
18. Intellectual property and organizational content
The Organization retains rights to its submitted content (such as logos, team profiles, branding assets, and service descriptions), subject to the license granted to QuoteFinder.ca to operate the Platform.
By submitting organization content, you grant QuoteFinder.ca a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, reproduce, display, and transmit that content as needed to operate, improve, and secure the Platform and related marketplace features.
19. Disclaimers

20. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuoteFinder.ca and its owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising out of or related to Team Account use.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuoteFinder.ca’s total liability arising out of or related to these Team Terms will not exceed the greater of:
- the amount paid directly by the Organization to QuoteFinder.ca in the 12 months before the claim arose; or
- CAD $500.
Nothing in these Team Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
21. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, the Organization agrees to indemnify and hold harmless QuoteFinder.ca and its affiliates, owners, officers, employees, and contractors from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable costs arising out of or related to:
- the Organization’s use of the Team Account;
- acts or omissions of Org Admins or members using the Team Account;
- violations of these Team Terms, provider terms, or platform policies;
- violations of licensing, privacy, communication, or other applicable laws;
- misuse of client data or unauthorized member access not caused by our security failure.
22. Changes to these Team Terms
We may update these Team Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version and update the “Last updated” date on this page.
Continued use of the Team Account after updated terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms, except where applicable law requires additional notice or consent.
23. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Team Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
Subject to applicable law, disputes arising out of or related to these Team Terms or Team Account use will be brought before the courts located in Ontario, Canada.
24. Severability and interpretation
If any provision of these Team Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
25. Contact and support
For Team Account support, billing/admin requests, verification, or policy questions, contact QuoteFinder.ca through the provider support/contact channel on the Platform.
