How to report a problem
To report an agent, brokerage, or abuse issue, contact QuoteFinder.ca support and use a clear label in the first line:
Recommended first-line labels:
- Abuse report — for spam, harassment, impersonation, suspicious conduct, misuse
- Report agent — for concerns about an individual provider/agent
- Report brokerage — for concerns about a brokerage/team account
- Security Report — for account compromise, phishing, or security concerns
What to include in your report (important)
Clear reports are easier to review and act on. Include as much of the following as you can:
- who you are (client, agent, team member, brokerage admin, etc.);
- the account/profile/business name you are reporting (if visible);
- the page URL(s) involved (profile, request page, market page, message thread, etc.);
- what happened (plain-English summary);
- why you believe it is abusive, misleading, or suspicious;
- date/time the incident happened (and your time zone if possible);
- whether the behavior is ongoing right now;
- screenshots, message text, or other relevant evidence.
Best evidence = exact details
Exact message text, screenshots, and page URLs are usually much more useful than a general summary alone.
Examples of report types (to reduce confusion)
| Situation | Use this label | What to include |
|---|---|---|
| Agent keeps sending unrelated messages or promotions | Abuse report | Message screenshots, profile name, dates/times, any opt-out you sent |
| Provider appears to be pretending to be another business/person | Report agent or Report brokerage | Profile link, suspicious claim, supporting screenshots/links |
| Brokerage/team appears to misuse client data or mass-contact users | Report brokerage | Examples, affected pages/messages, timing, why it appears systematic |
| Harassment, threats, or abusive language | Abuse report | Message copies/screenshots, account/profile details, timeline |
| Suspicious login, phishing, fake QuoteFinder message | Security Report | Screenshots, links, message text, when/how received |
What not to send
Please do not include unnecessary sensitive information when making a report.

Privacy reminder

What happens after you submit a report
After you submit a report, QuoteFinder.ca may:
- review and triage the report;
- request more details or screenshots if needed;
- review related account activity, messages, or platform records;
- apply warnings, restrictions, holds, or other enforcement actions where appropriate;
- monitor for repeated or related behavior;
- escalate serious issues to trust & safety, security, or compliance review.
Not every report results in visible action, and QuoteFinder.ca may limit what it can share about actions taken on another user’s account.
Confidentiality of reviews
To protect user privacy and platform integrity, QuoteFinder.ca may not disclose full investigation details or the exact action taken on another account.
